10th Annual TAO Cancer Toxicity Management Meeting

2020    The 10th annual TAO Cancer Toxicity Management (CTM) meeting will be held December 3-4, 2020.  The meeting, based in Paris, France, will be held virtually and focus on current events, with two sessions on “Cancer and COVID-19.” Sessions will address prehabilitation and rehabilitation. A significant place will be given to international experiences, with a  focus on pain, genetics, and the microbiome.

MASCC members are being offered a reduced registration rate.

“Traditionally, the management of different pathologies was done from the perspective of each concerned specialty,” says Florian Scotté, founder of the CTM meeting and MASCC board member.  “Recently, a more holistic view of the patient’s journey is being considered by most players in the healthcare system. From the outset, this meeting has endeavored to show all facets of the patient journey in oncology, with supportive care as the point of entry, but also accommodating the cancer toxicity management dimension.”

Speakers include several MASCC members, including Florian Scotté, Matti Aapro, Paolo Bossi, Richard Gralla, Andrew Davies, Toshiaki Saeki, Andrea Antonuzzo, Richard Berman, Fausto Roila, Antonia Vigano, Karin Jordan, Jean-Marie Michot, Joel Epstein, and Jean Klastersky.

The contributions of young doctors will be recognized through the Jean Klastersky Young Physician Award, which will be awarded again this year. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, November 18 at midnight. Application information can be found on the registration site.  Applicants are invited to submit their project for an oral presentation to an assembly of national and international experts. Six candidates will be selected for 15-minute presentations during two dedicated sessions. Award recipients will receive €2,000 and complimentary registration for MASCC’s 2021 Annual Meeting to be held in Seville, Spain
