IASCC 2nd Annual Meeting Videos and Presentations Available Online

2020    On October 3 - 4, the Indian Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (IASCC) presented its 2nd Annual Meeting.  You can still view videos of speakers and meeting highlights (you will need to register for access to all materials – registration is FREE).  Abstract and video presentations are available.

  • 1st Runner-Up: Dr. Saadvik Raghuram received a 2-year MASCC Membership. Raghuram is a Resident at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, India
    Winning presentation: – “Prevalence of Distress Among Cancer Patients and Factors Associated With It — A Prospective Observational Study”

  • 2nd Runner-Up: Dr. Divyesh Kumar received a 1-year MASCC Membership. Kumar is Associate Professor, Department of Radiotherapy & Oncology, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh, India
    Winning presentation: “A prospective study to compare caregivers’ knowledge and perception of cancer pain with patients’ pain assessment and to evaluate their quality of life”
  • 3rd Runner-Up: Dr. Sai Preeth received a 1-year MASCC Membership. Preeth is a Pharm D Intern at Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bangalore, India.
    Winning presentation: “Clinical Patterns of Chemotherapy Drug Related Cutaneous Eruptions - Prospective Observational Single Center Study”
  • 4th Runner-Up: Ms. Supriya Ghanbahadur received a 1-year MASCC Membership. Ghanbahadur is a M.Sc Nursing (Oncology) at the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer, Navi Mumbai, India
    Winning presentation: Effectiveness of Game Intervention on Oral Hygiene Status Among Pediatric Cancer Clients

The meeting, held virtually, included also included workshops and discussions on treatments and techniques for minimizing the symptoms of cancers and side effects of cancer directed and related therapy.
