2021 We’re excited to announce our most recent MOU partner: the Brazilian Society of Clinical Oncology (Sociedade Brasileira de Oncologia Clínica, or SBOC). SBOC is the national organization representing clinical oncologists in Brazil. Founded in 1981, it operates in many areas, including training and research, continuing education, health policies, professional advocacy, and national and international relations. In view of the growing importance of this specialty, SBOC seeks to constantly improve itself as a reflective, purposeful, collaborative and enterprising organization, aiming to contribute to the strengthening of oncology in Brazil and around the world. 2021 A long-time member, leader, and advocate for MASCC, Ed Rubenstein sadly passed away recently at the age of 63. As well as being instrumental in the development of MASCC’s mucositis and febrile neutropenia guidelines, Ed was also a warm and charismatic person who will be greatly missed by many. Many of our long-time members have shared their remembrances of Ed, his life and his work.
